Monaco to Cannes Transfer — Private Chauffeur on the A8

Sixty kilometres. On a clear Wednesday morning in October, your driver will have you on the Croisette in under an hour. On a Thursday evening in May, with the Cannes Film Festival in full swing and half the Principality also heading west, that same journey can take twice as long — and there is no train that will help you at that hour with that luggage.

The Monaco to Cannes corridor is one of the most travelled routes on the Riviera. It connects two of the most significant addresses in Europe, and it does so along a motorway that is entirely predictable except when it isn’t. Your Monaco Taxi Limousine driver knows the A8, knows the Cannes exit options, and knows exactly which approach to the Croisette works when Boulevard de la Croisette itself is closed for an event.

Fixed price. Confirmed before you leave. Your driver at the door.

Fixed Prices — Monaco to Cannes and the Western Riviera

All prices are per vehicle, not per person. Confirmed at booking — no meter, no toll surprise, no surge pricing when an event fills the A8. Tolls and waiting time as agreed are included.

Choose Your Vehicle

Mercedes E-Class — 3 Passengers · 3 Bags

The E-Class is the most requested vehicle for the Monaco to Cannes run. A couple heading to the Croisette for the Film Festival, an executive with a morning meeting at the Palais des Festivals, a solo traveller connecting from a yacht in Port Hercule to a hotel in Cannes — the E-Class covers it cleanly, quietly, and on time. From €220.

Mercedes V-Class — 6 Passengers · 6 Bags

Six people, luggage for a week, and a destination on the Croisette. The V-Class handles it without anyone left behind or any case left at the hotel. Club-facing rear seats for the journey, and enough boot space to mean no argument about what fits. From €265.

Mercedes S-Class — 3 Passengers · 3 Bags

The S-Class is for the journey that is part of the occasion. Nappa leather, Burmester sound, Executive rear seating. From Monte Carlo to the Carlton in complete comfort, in complete silence, looking exactly as you intend to look when you arrive. From €400.

All vehicles are presented by uniformed chauffeurs. Child seats at no extra charge — specify age and weight at booking. Water chilled, chargers ready.

The Route — Monaco to Cannes

The A8 La Provençale

The standard and fastest route is the A8 La Provençale westbound from Monaco — exit at Cannes-Mougins or Cannes-Centre depending on your specific destination and real-time traffic. The A8 toll is included in your fixed price. Distance is 50 km, journey time 40 to 55 minutes under normal conditions.

The Croisette Approach

The final approach to the Croisette varies by destination and by event. During the Cannes Film Festival in May and the Cannes Lions in June, Boulevard de la Croisette is partially or fully closed for red-carpet infrastructure. Your driver knows the service entrances and approved drop-off points for every hotel on the boulevard — the Martinez, the Carlton, the Majestic, the Grand Hôtel — and coordinates in advance if access restrictions are in place.

Cannes Events — What Changes and What Doesn’t

Cannes Film Festival — May

The Film Festival is the most complex period for Cannes arrivals. The Croisette is partially closed from the first Wednesday of the festival through to the closing ceremony on Saturday. Your driver contacts your hotel in advance to confirm the approved access point and any time restrictions on the boulevard. Drop-off is coordinated directly — you do not need to manage this.

During Film Festival week, the Monaco to Cannes journey frequently coincides with the Monaco Grand Prix preparation period. The A8 carries event traffic from both directions simultaneously. Allow additional time and book your transfer in advance. For Grand Prix logistics, see our Monaco Grand Prix transfer page.

Cannes Lions — June

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity brings a different clientele to the same geography — advertising and media executives filling every hotel on the Croisette. Traffic pressure is significant but generally lighter than the Film Festival. Journey times add 15 to 30 minutes over normal conditions.

MIPIM and MIPCOM — March and October

MIPIM in March and MIPCOM in October are the property and media market events that fill Cannes outside the summer season. The Palais des Festivals is the hub for both. Your driver knows the Palais drop-off zone and the parking restrictions that apply during these events.
